Kenneth is a 1980 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School, where he was a four-time varsity letterman in football and track. He also lettered in basketball and was the 1979 outstanding track athlete. Kenneth graduated from Lock Haven University in 1985 and was a four-year member of the boxing team. He was a bronze at 132 lbs. at the National Collegiate Boxing Association National Championships and was a 1983 NCBA All-American.

Kenneth coached boxing from 1986-present where he help 168 individuals reach the NCBA Championships. 131 of his student-athletes were named NCBA All-Americans, 33 were National Champions. He coached 40 2nd place finishers, 54 semi-finalists, and 35 quarter finalists. In 2007 Lock Haven won the team championship, and in 2019 and 2022 Kenneth won the NCBA Achievement Award and was inducted into Lock Haven's boxing Hall of Fame in 2023.
