Ron Hackett

Ron graduated from Elkland High School in 1991, where he participated for 4 years in Basketball and Track & Field. He is the current head coach of the U.S. Men's National Softball Team. After his playing days he transitioned into coaching several club programs, leading squads to seven consecutive top-3 finishes at the International SoftballC ongress World Championships, highlighted by a 2022 ISC World Championship with the Hallman Twins.

In 2015 he started coaching in the U.S. MNT, where he launched the USA Men's Futures Program. In 2019 he became an assistant coach helping guide the Red, White, and Blue to a silver medal at the Pan-Am games and a 5th place finish in the World Cup. In 2020 he was elevated to head coach. This last season his U.S. team claimed the gold at the World Games a defining marker of the teams growth.
