Weldon graduated from Peacham Academy in Peacham, Vermont in 1942, where he participated in Basketball, Baseball, and Tennis. He was the club champion at River Valley 2 years and the Senior champion 2 years. On January 1, 2016, he shot his age 45-46 for a 91. He was instrumental in River Valley Country Club coming to exist. He has encouraged generations of players and is still very active in League and Tournament play.
